About JR
JR is the confident father-figure or mentor that helps the world engage with your story. His commanding voice comes through in every reading to deliver an impactful statement and to change hearts and minds. As a professional singer, educator, and choir director, JR knows how to use his voice to communicate with people from all walks of life in a way that will be memorable, motivational, and enjoyable. JR graduated from Ohio Northern University with a BM in Voice Performance. With 15+ years of experience in studying, performing, and teaching voice, he's an expert in using music and the spoken word to connect with audiences. During his time as a pastor, JR was regularly asked to record advertisements with local radio stations for businesses in the Lima area. It wasn't until he converted to Catholicism that he found there was a real ministry for him in recording documentaries, voicing audiobooks, giving voice lessons, and lecturing on the spirit and technique in music.
A Brief Bio
JR was born in Cleveland Ohio and was raised in Cleveland Heights. From a young age, he developed a love of music and was heavily involved in choirs in the area. He sang in Cleveland's Singing Angels and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. JR went to Ohio Northern for college and has lived in Northwestern Ohio ever since. He is a former minister and public school teacher who now makes his living recording voiceovers, directing choirs, and teaching in his private voice studio. JR lives in Lima, Ohio with his wife, Stacy, their six children, their two dogs, Margo and Teddy, and their fish Lil' David.
